The “Agios Georgios Nileias village” is located at the west side of Pelio Mountain, in Magnesia, at an altitude of 700m. (The highest altitude of all the villages of Pelio, with crystal sources). It is a village with great history “ The Old Municipality of Great “Ai Giorgi” (this is how it was called before the Second World War).

It is amphitheatrically built; it offers boundless view to Pagasitikos Gulf and is 25km far away from Volos , following the coast road: Volos-Agria-Kato Lechonia-Ano Lechonia-turning-going up-Agios Vlassios-Agios Georgios, just 30 minutes from Volos.

After Agios Georgios the asphalt road continues to Pinakates (5km) – Vyzitsa (10km) – Milies (15km) and many other villages to visit.

Nowadays the village “Agios Georgios” belongs to the Mileon Municipality and has the best access to the sea. From the side to Pagasitikos, starts the asphalt road

Agios Georgios – Ano Gatzea – Agia Triada – Kato Gatzea at a distance of 10minutes (10km).

From the side of East Pelio – Aegean in 30 minutes (through Mileon) we meet the first beach Kalamaki, then Labinou – Milopotamos – Tsagarada in 45minutes – Ntamouchari – Agios Ioannis – Papa Nero – Mouresi – Chania (ski center) in 40km.
